VCM enables the car to function on 3, 4 or 6 cylinders depending upon the load on the engine, thereby increasing fuel economy under normal operating conditions. All the versions of the Crosstour have a five-speed automatic transmission. The ever escalating gas prices would not be a cause of concern to the owners of this car; a staggering 18 mpg in the cities and 27 mpg on the freeways ensures more smiles per mile cruising in this car. The car has an Ultra-Low-Emission Vehicle (ULEV-2) rating.

To eliminate competition, Honda Motors have decorated the 2012 Crosstour with all the premium technologies and features in its arsenal.
